Josh Thomas - Owner & Lead Inspector

Hey everyone! I’m Josh, Certified Professional Inspector and owner of Watchdog Inspections. I provide thorough and reliable home inspections across the North Iowa area. I grew up in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Iowa a few years ago. With family here and lots of great memories from summer visits, relocating was an easy choice. Of course, I brought my passion for Texas sports with me (Go Rangers, Cowboys, and Stars!).

With over 10 years of hands-on experience in constructional remediation and certification from InterNACHI, I offer detailed, honest inspections to help you protect your investment whether you’re buying, selling, or simply keeping your property in top shape.

I’ve loved dogs since I was a kid, so naming the business after our loyal four-legged protectors just made sense. I’ve got three “watchdogs” of my own—Toby, Daisy, and Luna—always on guard at home, just like I am for yours.
